Ordinance No. 2000-001

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CERTAIN SECTIONS OF ORDINANCE NO. 91-065, WHICH AMENDED ORDINANCE NO. 889, S. 1983, BY INCREASING THE CASH ASSISTANCE UNDER THE DEATH AND HOSPITALIZATION BENEFITS PROGRAM FOR RECOGNIZED AND DULY AUTHORIZED BARANGAY TANODS IN THE BARANGAYS OF THE CITY OF NAGA:-

Be it ordained by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City OF Naga, that;

SECTION 1. – Section 1, Sub-Section 2, 3, 4 & 5, are hereby amended, now to read as follows:

“SECTION 1, Sub-Section 2. – In case of death occurring within 48 hours after duty due to high blood or heart failure and/or death while in the performance of official duties or by reason thereof, cash assistance of Five Thousand (P5, 000.00) Pesos..

“SECTION 1, Sub-Section 4. – In case of accident and/or in jury while in the performance of duty needing hospitalization expenses and for incapacity for labor, as follows:

a. For Slight-Physical Injuries – P50.00 per day but not more than 15 days as cash assistance or a total sum not exceeding P750.00;

b. For Less Serious Physical Injuries P50.00 per day but not more than 30 days as cash assistance or a total sum not exceeding P1,500.00;

c. For Serious Physical Injuries – P50.00 per day but not more than 60 days as cash assistance or a total sum not exceeding P3,00.00;”

“SECTION 1, Sub-Section 5. – In case of hospitalization due to any illness or disease-a cash assistance of P50.00 per day for medical and hospitalization expenses and incapacity for labor or a total sum of not exceeding P1,500.00 “Provided that all or any amount as cash Assistance, Hospitalization or Death Benefits that the City Government of Naga will provide shall be charged to the Tanod Fringe Benefits Fund under Non-Office item of the approved Annual budget of the Naga City for the year 2000 and all succeeding years.”

SECTION 2. – This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its approval but shall not apply to death, injuries or illness occurring prior to the enactment of this ordinance.
