Hernandez leads 2012 UNC recognition day awardees

‘SUSING’ HERNANDEZ. 45 years of service

The 64th Baccalaureate Mass and Recognition Day Ceremony at the University of Nueva Caceres will be held on March 24, 2012 at the University Sports Palace. Rev. Msgr. Noe Pastor Badiola, Parish Priest , St. John the Evangelist Parish, Metropolitan Cathedral, Naga City will be the celebrant homilist for the occasion that will start at 8:00 A.M.

The mass precedes the Recognition Day Ceremony where the graduating students of Batch 2011 will also witness the public presentation of this year’s crop of Awardees on Non Academic and Academic category. It is an annual tradition where the honorees are presented with the appropriate awards based on specific criteria.

Vice President for Student and External Affairs and active civic leader, Jesus J. Hernandez will lead this year’s recipient of Service Awards for Faculty and Employees with his 45 years of faithful service to the University of Nueva Caceres. Francia J. Gianan, Engr. Roberto A. Rada, Arminda B. Rebutiaco and Dr. Luna E. Supanga will also receive their plaques of recognition for spending thirty five years with the university. Six other individuals who have devoted three decades of their professional career in the service will also be given their recognition. Clodualdo N. Ceron, Museum Curator, Divinagracia L. David, Personnel Director and Josefina H. Rances, University Treasurer will be joined by Nenita A. Del Socorro, Eleanor C. Tablizo and Emmanuel C. Ventura as they take their turn on the stage.

The student awardees for 2011 are led by two young girls, Arleen T. Delos Reyes and Ma. Clarissa Lavena A. Bombase, whose accomplishments and exploits, both locally and nationally, have brought singular honor to the educational institution. Atty. Nelson M. Aspe will be the recipient of the Outstanding Alumnus Award.

Four outstanding students who distinguished themselves for their academic performance will graduate with Magna Cum Laude Honors. They are Raejane Mae R. Aurellano, Leslie Joyce S. Bertiz, Ma. Clarissa Lavena A. Bombase and Helen Margarette P. Cortezano. Henry A. Camposano Jr., Ma. Tanya O. Daplas, Regie H. Padre, Rosalie Camille P. Lagrosa and Amie R. Abes will receive their Cum Laude honors.

Raejane Mae R. Aurellano will also receive the Manny Villar Excellence Award, Leslie Joyce S. Bertiz, Mayoral Award for Academic Excellence, and Ma. Clarissa Lavena A. Bombase, for Special Academic Award, in addition to Leadership Awards, Mayoral Award for Leadership, and Special Recognition Award.

Undergraduate honors for First Honors will be received by John Paul Louie L. Abe, Ma. Tanya O. Daplas, Raejane Mae R. Aurellano, May Allysa Jenica P. Sariba, Helen Margarette P. Cortezano and Rechie F. Rufo. Second Honors goes to Leslie Joyce S. Bertiz, Regie H. Padre, Maria Victoria D. Anonas, Jayson M. Aliben, Maria Divina C. Togno, Emmanuel Nico N. Cronico, Sheena B. Sierra, Joy A. Delfino, Myra Celeste A. Rubi, Claze Threse B. De Vera, Ma. Isabel A. Morco, Melvin A. Orillo, John Ace B. De Leon, Rosauro Angelo B. Maleniza, Janine C. Soreta, Leah Angela V. Caceres, Lanie L. Caparanga, Michelle S. Claro, Joy Clarise L. Madara, Khim Joseph R. Naval, Sheeha A. Yago, Ma. Clarissa Lavena A. Bombase, Mharc Djan P. Dela Vega, Camille Ann A. Loyalty awardees for the College of Engineering and Architecture are Julian David F. Baduria, Jo Jerico E. Manalang, Gerald C. Bellez and John Michael G. Prila. Business and Accountancy, Michael B. Dometita, Aimee Catherine Cleo T. Brito, Prescious Adeline M. Encila, Debbie B. Pellosis, Genevieve Anne E. Diocos, Krystela A. Bonafe, Rochelle Dianne G. Prila, Ronald D. Sarol, and Niña Sarah B. Jamito. Nursing, Dan Romulo A. Caceres, Charles Kevin O. Cadag, Jessica F. Calubad, Decyril C. Destura and Paul Kenneth C. Santos.

The UNC GLEE CLUB, the university’s ambassador for culture and the arts, under the baton of its Multi-awarded Directress Mrs. Amelita De la Paz Zaens, will receive the Outstanding Achievement Award in Performing Arts. Special Recognition Awards to other goups will also be given, in addition to individual students who distinguished themselves in various endeavours.
