CPAs, young economists slate confabs in Naga
Mayor John G. Bongat will be the luncheon speaker when the Association of Certified Public Accountants in Commerce & Industry (ACPACI), with the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) – Commerce & Industry Sector hold their joint annual convention from September 20-23 at the Avenue Plaza Hotel here.
Rebecca R. Arago, CPA, 2012 National President of ACPACI said the annual event will feature plenary and technical sessions, as well as fellowship and sports activities, which will be participated in by CPAs in the commerce and industry sector.
Meanwhile, Mayor Bongat has also been invited to keynote the 12th Southern Luzon Young Economists’ Convention to be held on September 27 at the Phelan Hall, Ateneo de Naga University. The young economists convention is being sponsored by the Ateneo de Naga University, in partnership with the De La Salle University- Angelo King Institute of Business and Economics.
Margie B. Mirando, chairperson of the Department of Allied Business Courses of the College of Business and Accountancy of the Ateneo de Naga University explained the convention aims to gather young and dynamic Business and Economics students in the Southern Luzon area to discuss and explore relevant issues as they move forward as future academe, business, and government leaders in th country.
The convention is anchored on the theme, “Exploiting Opportunities from Good Governance for an Improved Human Capital.”
Bongat, according to Mirando, will speak on Naga City’s position as the leading exemplar of good governance in Bicol.
