Transferring Trimobile Franchise to a Relative

ABOUT THE SERVICE

PER ORDINANCE No. 93-049 or the Transport and Traffic Code of Naga City, all motorized tricycles or trimobiles operating in the city as public utility must possess a valid franchise to operate.

The Sanggunian has limited the number of trimobile franchises for regular routes to 1,500 units. And only Naga residents are allowed to hold a trimobile franchise.

  • LTO Official Receipt of Registration (OR)
  • BIR Clearance
  • SSS Clearance
  • Approved Drivers ID with Clearance
  • Certificate of Roadworthy of Unit
  • Deed of Sale
  • Affidavit of Transfer
  • Affidavit of Undertaking
  • Petition for Dropping duly notarized
  • Third Party Liability Insurance

TAXES AND FEES

  • Mayor’s Permit Fee – P 100.00/Unit
  • Annual Supervision Fee – P 100.00
  • Police Inspection Fee – P 20.00
  • Driver’s ID Fee – P 32.50
  • Sticker Fee – P 25.00

Per Ordinance No. 2007-024 (an ordinance providing for the transfer of tricycle franchise imposing transfer fee and providing penalties for violations thereof

  • Transfer Fee – P 25,000.00 / unit

P 35,000.00 when the consideration is more than P 140,000.00

  • Penalty – P 5,000.00

HOW TO AVAIL OF THE SERVICE

1. Secure and Fill-up Application Form

Secure and fill-up the Application Form and a list of requirements from the Trimobile Task Force (TTF).

2. Submit Other Requirements to TTF

If applicant is verified as a Naga Resident, submit the above requirements to the Office of the Sanguniang Panlunsod.

3. Legislative Action

The Sanguniang Panlungsod deliberates on and approves the application for franchise.

4. Preparation and Approval of Resolution

The Sanguniang Panlungsod Office prepares a resolution regarding Sanguniang approval of the franchise.

5. Approval of Franchise

Sign a copy of the franchise and brings the same to the City Mayors Office for approval.

7. For New Applicants, Proceed LTO

New Applicant brings a Franchise copy to the Land Transportation Office (LTO) for unit reclassification to “For Hire”.

8.  The applicant presents the original LTO OR and CR to the Trimobile Task Force (TTF).
