Assessment of New Building or Machinery

ABOUT THE SERVICE

NEW TAX declarations (TD) have to be prepared for newly constructed buildings and newly installed machinery.

The City Assessor’s Office conducts field inspection to assess the value of the real property.

The new TD serves as the city government’s permanent record on the real property unit. It is also used for real property tax purposes.

  • Letter Request
  • Building floor plan with building permit
  • Certificate of Occupancy

HOW TO AVAIL OF THE SERVICE


FOLLOW THESE STEPS IT WILL TAKE YOU PLEASE APPROACH
1. Request for the Service

Informs Officer-of-the-Day (OD) regarding the request. OD, in turn, provides a Service Slip for endorsement to the Assessment Division (TAD).

2. Submit Service Slip

- Submit the Service Slip with the required documents to the Assessment Chief and wait for the request to be evaluated.
- TAD Chief assigns the task to a Local Assessment Operations Officer (LAOO).

3. Site Inspection

- Accompany the LAOO in the actual inspection of the real property for assessment purposes LAOO prepares inspection report.

4. Preparation of Tax Declaration

The LAOO prepares the following:

a. Field Appraisal/Assessment Sheet (FAAS)
b. Tax Declaration (TD)
c. Property record from (PRF)

5. Processing of Tax Declaration

- TAD Chief evaluates and signs the TD and FAAS.
- Tax Mapping Division records the transaction in the Tax Mapping Control Roll (TMCR).
- Assistant City Assessor reviews the updated TD
- City Assessor approves and signs the TD.

6. Issuance of TD

- The new TD is numbered and a copy is issued to the client.
- Turn-over the service slip, containing the client’s comments, if any.
