Processing Citation Tickets for Traffic Violations

ABOUT THE SERVICE

THE Public Safety Office (PSO) takes charge of processing of violations of city traffic ordinances, beginning with assessment of fines to the filing of appropriate complaints before the City Prosecutor’s Office.

Offenses committed include violations by drivers, jaywalking and violation of the Anti-Smoking Ordinance.

Offenders are issued citation tickets. Fines are paid at the City Treasurer’s Office. The PSO brings a complaint before the City Prosecutor’s Office if an offender fails to pay the corresponding fines.
